Delicious food, awesome drinks, great atmosphere, and the best servers and bartenders in town- Mexicali has it all. I've never been disappointed with a visit to this Studio City landmark. The lobster tacos are amazing, and their carnitas is damn good. Margaritas are the best on Ventura Blvd. They have two daily happy hours (evening and late)with great deals on food.
Doug, Chris, Quinn and Sandi are always top notch behind the bar. Two thumbs up on this place. Love it. -

I've been eating here ever since I moved to LA 10 years ago and I've never had an entree I didn't like. Spencer was a pleasure and made us feel welcome.
I'd recommend the lobster quesadilla or the blue crab and shrimp burrito. Also they have pretty much every tequila you could possibly want, and I'm a huge tequila fan.
Love this place. Will keep coming back for years to come. -

Nearly 20yrs ago this place was one of "the" places to be in the valley. The food is abundant but usually always fresh and good. I feel the place over the years has gone down a bit. My ahi salad this go around was maybe par. The chips and salsa use to be chunky and delicious. The recipe may of changed and the size of salsa dish is not large enough for the chips for dipping. The queso use to have a cheesy (melted) type to it but now seems a bit above gas station cheese.
Overall I will still come here. The drinks have always been good. It can have a fun and mingle worthy atmosphere... -

Came here for lunch today. Service was great and friendly. Location was ideal. Food was extremely average. Chips N Salsa and my shrimp and crab salad were flavorless. Chicken tacos were so so. A little disappointing but happy we had good service.
